The session participants discussed issues related to the use of natural gas, the prospects and measures that need to be taken for its introduction into the transport sector.

Viktor Zubkov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Gazprom, noted that since 2000 the number of automobiles in the world for gas-engine fuel has significantly increased: from 1 to 26 million units, but the potential of this market still remains very large.

The Minister of Transport of Russia, Yevgeny Dietrich, said that it is necessary to consider the possibility of using gas engine fuel not only in road transport, but also in the entire sphere, including railway and water transport.
