In Corporate and Project Management Research Institute a new methodology of program management in large-scale projects was created , which is based on the institute experts' own designs. In contrast to the old methodology of program management, the new is for managing a whole complex of projects, which is why this new methodology is interesting for a higher level of management – strategical management.

The methodology of program management includes:

  • Graph schemes and descriptions of the process of managing the programs in detail. This process is structured in following fields: managing the content, human resources, integration, communication, the value, risks, problem situations, purchases and contracts.
  • The description of the typical organizational structure of the program (program office, operating Council, management Council).
  • The description of the role models of program members in detail.
  • Proposal of distribution of responsibilities and competencies between the participants in the program.
  • The template of main documents, which is connected to program management (It may be in Microsoft Word, Micosoft Excel, Microsoft Project): Time-plan of program, risks map and map of problem situations, registry of change, the progress report on the implementation of program etc.
