Currently, the final round of the IV Competition of professional management of project activities "Project Olympus" (Project Olympus-2017) is taking place. Until the end of October, the finalists of the Contest will have to host on their territory assessors who, in order to clarify the assessments made in the selection round, will conduct on-site interviews, get acquainted with the expanded set of documents and the operation of information systems.

From the team of the NII KPU in the assessment of the finalists, the head of the department for corporate and project management Denis Dyachenko took part.

Thanks to the changes made, commercial organizations were able to take part in the Contest this year. A number of companies in the commercial sector went to the final round of the Contest. In particular, as part of site visits, assessors visited the Kronstadt Group of Companies and the Heineken Brewery in St. Petersburg, which reached the final in the main category "ORGANIZATION AND ACTIVITY OF DESIGN OFFICES".

According to the organizers of the Contest, the participation of commercial companies will help to significantly expand the knowledge base of the "Best Practices in Project Management", which the organizers of the Contest have been and are constantly expanding for four years already.

The results of the Contest will be announced by November 22. Winners will be announced at a conference that will be held on November 22 and 23 at the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation. Within the framework of the conference it is also planned to hold a series of round tables devoted to the discussion of the experience of applying the project approach, the prospects for the development of project management and other topical issues. In 2016, the conference was attended by more than 500 people. This year the organizers expect a significant increase in the number of participants.

NII KPU is the traditional information partner of the Contest, highlights the event on its information resources and in the journal Practice of Management.
